Hi Dr.Owl! Like to edit something into the blocked disclaimer http://s23.org/wiki/S23Wiki:General_disclaimer. Like that: "* glaube nichts und zweifle an allem, was du liest." (not disturbing the 5) How to discuss it? I think it should be possible... after discussing it.

MattisManzel 19:36, 30 Sep 2005 (CEST): blocking 195.225.176.35 for 23 years, well, unless approved mass-murderers spam on s23-wiki we should limit ourselves to months, I guess. ;)

    hehehe oki =) --DrOwl 00:05, 6 Oct 2005 (CEST)

MattisManzel 17:15, 20 Jun 2005 (CEST): A nice straight inverted sequence on your talkpage, Doc, new stuff on top. Sure. Nobody needs to scroll down. Inpires me.

Doc: If you'd now answer to this, you'd do so here. I'd answer like
MattisManzel 17:15, 20 Jun 2005 (CEST): this. New stuff that is not an answer should go to the top. I wonder why there is no elaborated mixed forum/wiki culture. Maybe on wikipedia discussion pages? It's hard to tell and you do not think about what is an answer and what is new when writing. hmm. Some software, Making a big parenthesis on the left clinging every single idea or a changed background color like induced on community-wiki with [new:]. New ideas add on the top. double-hmm.
DrOwl 17:56, 20 Jun 2005 (CEST) yes i like it indeed, lol funny really "top posting" is really frowned apon in news groups / mailing lists... i just thourget made more sence =)) but the idead of indenting answers very wiSe i do think =), maybe we could do some sort of play with css / divs so that each "topic" could be a diffrent color and answers could alternate colors (inverted / non inverted per follow up maybe) ...
    MattisManzel 18:43, 20 Jun 2005 (CEST): Yeah, community-wiki: MattisManzel / scratchpad.

    ida for a new Captcha[edit]

    Captcha

idea to amke a ASCII captcha using figlet text as the key

would need to format font so a simple number count would not reveal the chareter, possibly injecting extra random chars so that each char in the font is made up of say 23 chars.

also need to controle char spacing and font to prevent a simple spacing pattern match ie "?  ?" is the top of a U, being used to detect the char.

Would help to use lots of diffrent fonts too and mabe even add cowsay it too, to add extra complexaties

    Figlet captcha became reality[edit]

Hey Owl, check this out, your "figlet captcha" idea became reality: ASCII art as a Turing test.

    (found on [1].

Oh wow, i didn't see this before its quite cool, its a simple one but i really like it =) --DrOwl 12:02, 11 July 2008 (CEST)

    ewin mcgregor[edit]

In news today evidence has been read at court for the existences of the evologicly induncive prenamolite ewin mcgregor, the evidence brought before court was presented in the form of a petition signed by over one billion firefly's and written on one side of A1 paper, firefly's are small you see so have small writing.

    yaaa[edit]

well it is a joy full time 2 days left in my current job... then some nice time of before starting again again again =)

    Antarctica Land mass[edit]

I was babbling with a friend last night and we were trying to work some stuff out i put this note in my phone about it:

Write on the wiki about the Antarctic land mass and working out the percent of the earths surface it covers
and the displacement caused by the "mass" all that snow and the consequences of it all melting

Ill add some more information now... but this really needs a hole world of more work =)

"displacement" in the context of the earths crust, ie a large volume of snow/ice is "believed" to cause the earth's [crust|mantel] below to sink, this in turn causes the aria around it to rise (insert analogy of squeezing a balloon).

"percent of the earths surface" the "Antarctica Land mass" is quite large we wanted to work out how much as a % of the earths surface it covered.

"consequences of it all melting" due to "displacement" the earths [crust|mantel] is being pushed up in "other locations" if (all) the ice melts, the "Antarctica Land mass" will get higher and "other locations" will get lower.

    Some snipets of information[edit]

"At 14.4 million km² (5.4 million sq mi), it is the fifth-largest continent in area. Some 98% of Antarctica is covered by ice, which averages at least 1.6 kilometers (1.0 mi) in thickness."

Need to make and internet version of the drawn picture explaining this a ltl more

    Mathematical assumptions[edit]

The land mass encompass ~ 30° (longitude)

    20081112[edit]

I think im agnostic, but i'm not sure

    Nagios[edit]

Thanks for the new Nagios related page. More general Nagios stuff please, also into it right now ;) mutante 22:41, 11 December 2008 (UTC)

Thanks, 100% All Original Krimpet 03:21, 31 March 2009 (UTC)

Can you please let me know why i would want to do that? --DrOwl 09:17, 31 March 2009 (UTC)

This user is impersonating my real life identity and spamming my personal information on several wikis including this one. The pages they created include my personal info. Hence why I am hoping you or another sysop here can delete the pages and block. 100% All Original Krimpet 16:38, 13 April 2009 (UTC)
