    ting55, Sunday, 16th of April 2006, 18:00 UTC (20:00 CEST)[edit]

We are meeting half an hour before a ting on irc, server freenode, channel #onebigsoup. We use Gobby as a collaborative editor (v0.3.0 only please - older versions are incompatile and will likely ruin the ting) and teamspeak for VoIP. The collab-editor-server is kathigraben.mine.nu, port 6522 (default). You find the teamspeak login data on the gobby page ting55_talk or ask in irc.freenode #onebigsoup. Joining the ting on gobby only is surely welcome.

    topic proposals[edit]

    • tings are open. so come up with a topic - you will realize pretty soon if someone's interested in it
    • add here or in gobby, please
    1. Manual collaboration on statistics
      1. Wikistats/Add private wiki
      2. http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Sites_using_MediaWiki/by_size
      3. http://www.wikiindex.org/WikiProject:By_Size
    2. community-wiki: community-wiki-bank
    3. please clarify if it's possible to upload a screenshot of s23's Main Page or perhaps one of the article 23 for the gallery at mediawiki.org (s23's texts are under CC-by-nc-sa-2.0, the skin itself and the logo presumably are public domain, because they don't meet the minimum threshold of originality, so a screenshot with reduced resolution could be appropriate. note: non-commercial content is not allowed on MediaWiki.org, so text of an article should better not be readable -> smaller image) ... just if you like ;-)

The teamspeak login is despise-the-graceful.com port 3333 (not default!). You have to click Connection, then Quick Connect and then enter "despise-the-graceful.com:3333" as server adress and your nickname. Ask here or in irc.freenode #onebigsoup if you're having problems. Joining the ting on gobby only is highly welcomed.

ma: btw Gobby 0.3.0 runs on Ubuntu breezy badger. The Canaries LUG wrote a HowTo on http://drupal.gulic.org/gobby_0_3. Just wget the three files, for me there were no unresolved dependencies, then dpkg them. Works fine. The last reason for still using windows is gone - ciao be'a! http://darcs.0x539.de/trac/obby/cgi-bin/trac.cgi/wiki/LatestGobbyOnUbuntuBreezy Translate it please if you speak Spanish, I don't.
