Mystic Philosopher (1398-1518)
His poems are filled with allegories of the what used to be a very secretive part of the yogic system.
Favorites:
"Do not go to the garden of flowers! O Friend! go not there; In your body is the garden of flowers. Take your seat on the thousand petals of the lotus, and there gaze on the Infinite Beauty."
(My interpretation: Do not seek salvation outside of you (refference to the concept of the "garden of eden") Save yourself pain, misery, and time... Go within ("in your body is the garden of flowers" -> a metaphor for the energy centers in the body or "Chakras" ? In other words internalize, explore, access and activate these centers. "Take a seat" (then tune your attention to) "Thousand Petal lotus" (well known description for the Crown Chakra (Sahasrara) Example) "gaze on the Infinite Beauty" (whatever happends when one achieves this)
