Hashfreenode factoids

While there are many different requests in #freenode on irc.freenode.net many of the questions can be similar. These factoids aim to assist in answering questions swiftly and can be pasted directly into your XChat 2 user commands configuration file (Default on Windows: C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Application Data\X-Chat 2\commands.conf), or with a bit of modification put into irssi's config file (Default on Linux: /home/<username>/.irssi/config). More coming real soon now.

CMD msg %c /msg nickserv ghost <nick> <password>

NAME f-autoop
CMD msg %c Although it is possible to enable autoop freenode do not advocate it. If you really want to use: /msg chanserv level #<channel> set AUTOOP 10

NAME f-passmail
CMD msg %c If you have set an e-mail on your nick ask a staffer to send a password reset e-mail to it, otherwise you will have to wait until the nick has expired (60 days after last usage).

NAME f-passexpire
CMD msg %c If you have set an e-mail on your nick ask a staffer to send a password reset e-mail to it, alternatively you can ask them to drop it for you as it is hasn't been used for more than 60 days.

NAME f-cloak
CMD msg %c If you would like an unafilliated cloak please ensure you have set it up according to http://freenode.net/faq.shtml#nicksetup then ask for a member of staff to set one for you.

NAME f-register
CMD msg %c To register type /msg nickserv register <password> <email> (where <password> is your desired passoword, and <email> is your e-mail address).

NAME f-nodrop
CMD msg %c Sorry, your nick isn't old enough to be dropped as it is not older than 60 days - wait untill it is and a staff can probably drop it for you.

NAME f-private
CMD msg %c The nick you would like is private so you'll have to wait for a staffer or helper to come along and check whether it can be dropped for you.

CMD msg %c Which nick would you like dropping?

NAME f-drop
CMD msg %c Your nick name will probably be able to be dropped as it is older than 60 days, ask a staff member and they will be able to verify this and drop it for you.
