The movie that never made it to america

A movie in german about a german hacker who used to belong to a BBS in the old days named ChaosComputerClub. The movie is about Karl Koch aka Hagbard Celine. For those of you unfamiliar with the name, it comes from the sci-fi cult-classic book named "The Illuminatus! Trilogy" co-written by RobertAntonWilson and RobertShea. The movie trailer is hosted on seti23.org. It is called 23.

I recently found out that there is an effort to translate this picture to english, since there are no subtitles.
Let me know if you would like to collaborate on an effort to subtitle this movie into english.
    If you:

    1. Speak and write german fluently
    2. Speak or write english
    3. Can transcribe or copy segements of txt into a certain format templates
    4. Proofread segments for mistakes
    5. Know anything about subtitling movies

Mention it on this wiki or email me kunda@s23.org

    Cheers

HooAH!! Say our warriors of today
Reminds me of this one liner:

End of fucking story. That should be the only requirement." -Bill Hicks

    Re-Turned

So I have returned from my excursion into the 'Bush' (a.k.a. Wilderness) of northern Canada. I must say that what I saw was a powerful series of contradictions as well as vistas that would explode ones heart from so much beauty. There were 2 native guides that led the trip, we canoed from camp to camp, smoking white fish one day and learning to use an axe another (among other things). I learned and saw beautiful things. The 2 indians that led us were totally assimilated into western culture. Converted to Christianity 4 generations ago. The 'old ways' and traditional-cultural living seemed more like a tourist attraction then actually stepping into that kind of reality. Many questions i asked they didn't have answers for pertaining to the old days. Lost between the generations not handed down to posterity. Maybe some information was kept from me since i was a 'white', one of 'them'. I don't know if their personal biases had anything to do with the lack of information but all in all it was a crude realization how their identity as a culture seemed so confused and lost.

It was also black fly season which made the bush entirely intolerable at times. I'm sure i fattened up quite a few of these little beasties.

I encountered different individuals on this trip. Some on the way to the North and some on the trip back. I was careful to pay attention to any information they could provide for me. One man told me of his trial and decision when he was younger, (middle 20's-early 30's) to figure what to do with his life. He told me that he had studied computers and had a secure future if he followed in that direction. On the other hand there were other things that interested him but required him to live a more 'free' life. One that was not dictated by others schedules and structure. He told me that he chose the 'secure' future since he 'did not have the courage to live free'. These words resounded in my mind like shotguns. It made me think of the people I know from my circle of aquaintences and family, how many of them were doing what they wanted to do? Another gentleman, a previous co-worker, in a phone conversation couple of days before my trip told me a 1 liner that also impressed me. He said that "When you find a job that you love doing, you'll never work another day in your life', he told me this since he felt he had found his calling as a minister of one of the christian denominations (i forget which). This reminds me of an animated .gif intro on a homepage of some BuckministerFuller fan (who seems to also be a discordian! hehe. check out his site).

    It goes as follows:

    "I just figured something out.
    People are not stupid.
You just dont know what their true goals are.
    And maybe they don't either."

    Float

Ok...very very out-of-the-ordinary day. Today, I went to Auburn, Ma (south of Worcester) there a small buisness named The Crystalline Matrix offering Floatation sessions in their solitary Samadhi Floatation Tank.

    http://www.samadhitank.com/images/seethru.jpg

The tank looked a little different then this since this a manipulation that illustrates a cross-section of the tank. I did float. It was something else. There were snags here and there, like the owner left the filtration system on which caused the water churn lightly and i couldn't keep still. I got Salt water in my eye 3 times (There is a very large amount of epsom salt in the water to create bouyancy, in other words it make things float). I also couldn't get comfortable enough to relax and let go since it was all too new and foreign.

All-in-all, i had an awesome time. This has alot of potential. It can be a very useful tool for relaxation. I plan to float at least 2 more times to get beyond the acclimation period and start to experience the benefits of this excellent form of relaxation/meditation.

The Ddate function is awesome..but i just realized..its changing all previous Ddate's to the current one.
Didn't think of that in advance! hehe..

no worries..write it off as a discordian joke.
    Cheers

    A unique day

Trail 1201 will remain a special trail to me.
Drove to the Blue Hill Mountains outside of Boston. Milton actually.
Didn't have a map, and didn't use the trail that the book we had indicated.
Daylight was waining and well, we (my gf) decided to wing it.

No map, No compass. We decided to take a different trail/route back to the car. We made a makeshift map from a main map which was hung upside down. I dont know how we did it, we made it after losing our bearings many times.

Very humbled is what I was left with .

Thanks to both of out gut instincts and the help of the great mystery we made it back to the road and car.

    Tomorrow I float.

yes, i did <doublegrin> ;)) ,my first attempt though,

Updating just to be on the RecentChanges page

    Yea..so:
completed reading "The Search" by Tom Brown Jr.
    excellent read.

I would love to learn how to track a field mouse over a gravel driveway.
Back track my own footsteps so I could not get lost.
Walk into a forest and see the inter-relationship of everything
in-and-as-opposed to the darwinist-selfish-need-for-resource that I think many humans anthropomorophisize about. This book takes the 'edge' off off the latter view but still keeps it 'realistic'. It's dangerous to understand and judge through 'Human' 'filters' especially without acknowledging that you are doing that. (ex. Hitler and his Darwinist/Nietzchean amalgamations) How do you know that it is a struggle to be a plant or a tree, 'competeing' for resources. You are not in those respective nervous systems (even though the consensus scientific opinion is that plants and trees dont have nervous systems, though there is research that indicates otherwise; 'The Backster Effect' and all research stemming from him which i read about in 'The Secret Life of Plants')

This book doesn't argue the above. In fact it has a very native american spiritual approach. That is because the author was initiated into adulthood by an apache elder who taught him his traditional lifeways. Never-the-less its a book and I still abide by the discordian rule of thumb when it comes to books: "Don't believe everything you read in books."

I guess that could extend to Wikis as well.

New book: Carl Hiasen's "Sick Puppy" ISBN 0679454454
    Actually re-reading it
    Small excerpt from the book.

    Subfoldered Information In - Formation

    OK.
Finally subfoldered this page..getting was waaay to long.
I've been spamming the world waxing on my on-the-fly ideologies.
    pretty harmless really.

Nothing much to write about except:
I have 2 very dear freinds doing road trips currently:

    1. RabbiNoculars and his girl + 2 doggettes are doing the national park gypsy route...not sure what the final destination is. Relax back, grab a snack and enjoy his story telling Journals
    2. Another friend of mine flying across the land to Washington State and Biking back flinstone style to Maine. Pretty inspiring.

I have Awholelottalove for these folks. When I think of them I hear the "Chariots of Fire" as soundtrack simultaneously.

Off to bug mutante to try to implement 'TrackBack' feature in this wiki.
oh yea..and some words from BuckministerFuller
    Cheers!

    It's about time

Yea..it is about time. It's alot about time. But anyway...I'm back. Excursions into deciduous environs. It's fucking frightening how darkness is such a canvas for ones fears. I do not think that as adults we become immune to the fear of dark (even though we always chide little children about it). No way, I tell you. Its like that goop in Ghostbusters, Ectoplasm or something, that feeds off of emotions. But different in the aspect that its not exclusive to hate or fear. But those seem to bring out the 'life' of it.

More on that later. First i want to give props to mutante for tweeking this wiki even further. Looks good mate. I was finding that the older background wasn't showing up on crappy monitors. The CSS is interesting aswell. I'm getting used to it.

need to subfolder this...page is getting to large.

Oh yea..Knights Templar and Grail Mystery lovers happenings

bah! hmmm well..ill subpage it, better off like that. ---test--add more bytes here..lala .123456789 ..23...42....blargh,,,random J. H4x0r...is this page tooo full yet?
